Flexible Giving, Real Impact: 750+ Families Served

Each of the eight partner organizations brought these resources directly to the people they serve:
Samaritan House (pictured above left) helped individuals and families at critical moments by preventing homelessness and covering short-term gaps in rent or essential bills.
JobTrain provided support for transportation, classroom supplies, CPR and Live Scan fees, insurance, scrubs, and supplies for students in workforce – training programs.
Catholic Worker House provided a computer and winter clothing for a scholarship recipient and assisted families facing food insecurity, unexpected bills, and family emergencies.
Daly City Peninsula Partnership supported children and youth through tutoring, enrichment, and after-school programming.
Homework Central provided healthy snacks, take-home books, rain ponchos, and launched a new bilingual literacy model.
Ayudando Latinos A Soñar (ALAS) (pictured above right and below) provided children and youth summer programs in Half Moon Bay.
The Jackie Speier Foundation is in the process of distributing personal assistance funds to families throughout San Mateo County.
Peninsula Family Services supported the critical needs of clients and communities in San Mateo County.
