In the spirit of expanding philanthropy and promoting outstanding charitable work, PVF serves as the depository for projects that do not yet have their tax-exempt status, but are otherwise ready to commence their charitable work.

One such organization is Hella Heart Oakland, a charitable project whose mission is to support mental health and wellness initiatives to improve the conditions of Asian/Asian American women and girls in Oakland – and immigrants – who may suffer from mental illness and other hardships. They accomplish this through an act of collective and pooled giving in order to create a deeper understanding of, and engagement with, the local community.

Over the last year, Hella Heart Oakland has made numerous grants in support of their community.

“All of these contributions, totaling more than $50,000, were made through trusted relationships with each organization. We didn’t require a proposal and we don’t require a report. Your support has flexibly allowed each of these organizations to do their urgent work without any red tape.” – The Hella Heart Oakland Giving Circle family

PVF is proud to work with innovative donors to maximize the impact of their charitable giving.
