Doctors in the Classroom provides presentations, on the classroom level, to public school teachers grades 5-12 in San Mateo County.

The program goals are:

  • To provide students with the opportunity to explore medicine
  • To expose students to doctors and how to become a doctor
  • To inspire students to learn about and adopt healthy behaviors

The participating doctors are from the local community and are from a variety of disciplines. The presentations will be open for questions from the students. This is an opportunity for young people to learn more about health and doctors and hopefully this will fit in with the classroom’s health curriculum.
