Our Arts Resource Grant Program offers grants of up to $500 to public school teachers grades K-8 to enhance their classroom and after-school arts programs. This program targets teachers working in select peninsula school districts, including Alum Rock, Belmont, Cabrillo, East Palo Alto, Franklin/McKinley, Menlo Park, Mountain View/Whisman, Pescadero, Redwood City, and San Carlos. We fund a range of creative ideas, including art supplies, visiting artists, instruments, sound equipment, stipends for after-school art teachers, costumes, and professional development. The purpose of this program is to enhance arts education in music, theatre, dance, and visual arts.
Funding for this program is made possible through the Westly Foundation.
