A student from East Palo Alto Charter School silently communicates with a goat during a visit with her class to Harley Farms, a goat farm in Pescadero. This was an opportunity in which students were exposed to an environment outside of their typical urban setting.
This field trip was made possible through an Excursion Grant. One of our most popular initiatives, the Excursion Grant Program allows public school students in Alameda and San Mateo Counties to learn outside of the classroom via field trips around the Bay Area.
